New papers

Jean Douchement has issued a paper : The Management according to to Deming, which shows that the title "Out of the Crisis" (first edition 1982) did not announce a remedy for an ancient crisis, but a way to face with the problems caused by the financialisation of Economics, everywhere and at any time.

Jean-Marie Gogue has issued a paper : Chiffres et décisions, explaining how his jobs followed a path that led him to the Deming management philosophy.

Talks with the W. Edwards Deming Institute

Jean-Marc Chanel, AFED Vice President, met Dr. Joyce Nilsson Orsini in New York City, on July 18th, 2010. Joyce is a professor at Fordham University and a member of the W. E. Deming Institute Steering Committee. They have agreed for tighter bonds between both associations.

World congress in Paris

The 10th congress of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) was held on 8 - 10 July 2010 at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) in Paris. The topic was « Justice and Sustainability in the Global Economy ». Jean-Marc Chanel and Jean-Luc Fournier, representing the AFED, gave a lecture called « The Deming’s Theory of Management : a Key for Updating CEOs’ Practices »
